Travel Reviews
"Sweetpea cottage is the perfect spot. It's at Mt Victoria, perched on the escarpment overlooking the lush Kanimbla Valley. Difficult to admire if you arrive at night, as we did. But in the morning you'll wake up to the most gorgeous, blue-gum-fringed panorama of those famous red-rock cliffs." Weekends Away, Travel, Sydney Morning Herald, 18 December 2004 by Tim Brothers.
"Looking over the balustrade, it's easy to be convinced you're the sole witness to this hypnotic valley view, which stretches all the way to Hartley and beyond... Let the reader beware, though. Spend just a few moments here with some coffee and a paper, and your whole day will magically disappear." Weekends Away, Travel, Sydney Morning Herald, 18 December 2004 by Tim Brothers.
"If you venture out for dinner, stick around at least for the magnificent sunset from Sweetpea's deck, or wander to the Sunset Rock lookout. The beauty and peace will lull you into incomparable relaxation: until you realise with horror that you're only here for the weekend" Weekends Away, Travel, Sydney Morning Herald, 18 December 2004 by Tim Brothers.

"Sweetpea is such a quaint, charming, relaxing and enjoyable place. We had a great stay.
"Thank you so much for a wonderful Easter. We spent every evening on the deck with a glass of wine watching the sunset. All the walks in the area are fantastic and right from the front door. Lovely at night to snuggle up in front of the pot belly stove. This was our first family holiday with our new baby and it couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you so much. Claudine, Steve and baby Eloise."
"Well what a weekend the Blue Mountains put on for us - the first time I have bbq'd in snow! Throughout it all (rain, buffeting wind) the cottage stayed snug and cosy, with not so much as a draught. This was the weather we were after! The Katoomba Winter Magic Festival was great. Everyone seemed to love it and the colours and atmosphere couldn't be dampened. You have an absolutely wonderful little cottage here, and your hands-off approach made it totally relaxing. Thanks again. J and A."
