"Lavender is an old remedy for aiding sleep and relaxation and you'll have no problem with either at Lavender Cottage or Lavender Manor. These two enchanting self-contained properties are located just a few streets apart in the beautiful Blue Mountains town of Blackheath.

The spacious Manor is bordered by a sweet country garden and has a huge welcoming lounge/dining area and four peaceful bedrooms - great for groups of family or friends. The slightly smaller, but no less stately, brick cottage is surrounded by towering pines and has two airy bedrooms. Relaxed living areas are painted in soft violets and feature stunning parquetry floors.

Both retreats provide indulgent Lavenderluscious products for guests to enjoy. If these give you a taste for true pampering, the Lavenderluscious Day Spa is in a separate studio on the Manor grounds and provides every body indulgence you can think of - from massages to facials and body wraps...."

"Lavender Cottage is a newish two-storey house, built to combine lots of period features with mod cons. It's a real home away from home. The two bedrooms (the place sleeps five) have antique double beds with cotton sheets, bathrobes, piles of thick towels and a basket of lavender-scented soap, bath-salts and incense...."

"FROM some experience with weekends away, I've whittled down a list of essentials. They include: a bedside lamp for reading; 100 per cent cotton sheets on the bed; a comfortable sofa; and a cosy lounge room with some sort of heating - preferably a potbelly stove. Happily, Lavender Manor in Blackheath has all of this, plus a whole lot more...."

Hey Nicky, We had such a lovely second visit, even more relaxing and peaceful this time having the place completely to ourselves the whole weekend. Lovely to be able to check out Monday lunchtime too. I depart for England Sunday night :-( .... but plan to return in the New Year. Hi Nicky, Just want to say thank you for an amazing stay at lavender cottage. It is a beautiful place and having the spa studio on the premises is such a unique touch. The availability of the cottage ended up having a touch of serendipity about it as my partner dragged me down to Govett's leap on sat evening and proposed!  So needless to say lavender cottage will always be a special place for us. Hello Nicky, I'm the mother of Kate who organised this weekend  at your delightful cottage.  I forgot to leave a note in the guest book and I suspect that no-one else did either to tell you how comfortable we were and that it was a perfect place for the five of us and three-year-old  Sage loved her playful adventures under the pinetrees in the back garden - unlike anything to which she's been accustomed.  Our every need was catered for and we did enjoy the luxury of the treatments.
